Choosing door handles is an easy task. You just have to consider the most convenient ones out there. Theme and design could also be considered, but should not be of primary importance compared to budget and ease of utility.

The most practical door handle is a rotating door handle with the key hole. This saves you money for buying two separate tools and installing each separately. But this is without a disadvantage. This type of door handles are not that secure and there is a great chance that if the handle breaks you will not be able to open the door without using brute force. You can opt for a round door knob separate from a key whole. Still, the rotating door handle could lose its grip on moving the lock making it difficult to open the door.

A good door handle would be a pull door handle. This type of handle looks more like a handle than the rotating one and is more convenient to hold. Use this type of handle for doors that open by pulling them. The downside for this type of door handle is that the lock opener is always separate from the handle. Typical use of this handle is on cabinet doors. However, it can still be a good handle for your home's main door. Many of these do come in very creative and elegant designs to fit everyone's taste.
